Overview
This feature lets users distribute saved Dynamic Audiences across multiple stores in a Dealer group. It speeds up audience creation for organizations that maintain similar audiences across several rooftops by allowing duplication from the Dynamic Audiences list and distribution while building a new audience in the Audience Builder.
Scope
This article covers:
- What group distribution is and the supported use cases
- Technical eligibility and permissions required
- Where to find the feature in the CDP
- How to create, duplicate and view distributed audiences
- Edit and delete rules for group audiences
- Troubleshooting and implementation notes
Technical eligibility
- Available for Dealer group accounts with two or more connected stores (rooftops).
- User must have the required role/permission to perform actions (see Roles & permissions).
- The receiving store must be connected to the same Dealer group.
- Note: Confirm rollout details (whether this feature is enabled by default or behind a feature flag) — see “How to enable / disable in the Dashboard” below.
Use cases
- Audience Builder — create a new audience and save it to multiple stores during the save step.
- Dynamic Audiences — duplicate an existing audience across the group from the Dynamic Audiences list.
Roles & permissions
- Admin users:
- Only Admin users can create group audiences in an account.

Navigation
- CDP > Audiences > Dynamic Audiences
https://dashboard.fullpath.com/shoppers/saved-filters - CDP > Audience Builder (when creating a new audience)
https://dashboard.fullpath.com/shoppers/analysis/all?filters=e30%3D - In the Dynamic Audiences list, use the Distributed tag to see where an audience has been distributed.
How it works (high level)
- Distribution happens at the audience-list level: you distribute a saved audience and the system creates identical audience entries for the selected rooftops that retain a visual association to the parent (group) audience.
- When creating a new audience in the Audience Builder you can choose to save the audience to one or more stores as part of the save flow.
- You can view distribution status by hovering over the Distributed tag in the audience list to see which rooftops received the list.
Step-by-step: Duplicate an existing audience across the group (Dynamic Audiences)
- Go to CDP > Audiences > Dynamic Audiences.
- Locate the audience you want to duplicate.
- Click the dot more menu
for the audience and choose Distribute Audience
- In the distribution dialog:
- Select the target stores/rooftops (only stores where you have the required permission are shown).
- Confirm selection.
- Click Confirm/Distribute to start duplication.
- Result:
- An identical audience is created for each selected store.
- Each duplicated audience is visually linked to the parent group audience for reference.
- The creator is recorded as the group audience creator.
Step-by-step: Create and save a new audience to multiple stores (Audience Builder)
- Go to CDP > Audience Builder.
- Build your audience (select rules, attributes, shopper set).
- Click Save.
- In the Save dialog:
- Select “Distribute"
- Choose the target stores (only stores where you have the required permission are shown).
- Click Save to create the audience across the selected stores.
- Result:
- The new audience is saved on each selected store and is associated to the same parent group audience.
Viewing distribution details
- In the Dynamic Audiences list, a Distributed tag appears on audiences that have been shared.
- Hover over the Distributed tag to see which stores/rooftops the audience has been distributed to.
Editing group audiences
- Global shopper set edits across the group are not supported: the creator cannot change the shopper set that is shared across all distributed instances.
-
Creator can:
- Add stores to the distribution set (duplicate to more rooftops).
- Remove stores from the distribution set (remove that store’s associated audience).
-
Receiver (store-level user) can:
- Save as new — creating a local copy they can edit independently.
Deleting group audiences
- Creator can perform a bulk delete of the distributed audiences across the group.
- Exception: Audiences that are currently activated (in use) cannot be deleted; attempts to delete activated audiences will be blocked.
- Deletion from an individual receiving store (if allowed) will not remove other stores’ copies unless done by the creator as a bulk delete.
Troubleshooting
Cannot see the Duplicate/Distribute option:
- Confirm you are an Admin (or have the required permission — see Roles & permissions).
- Confirm the feature is enabled for your Dealer group (contact Customer Success if unsure).
- Refresh the page or clear cache.
Cannot select a target rooftop:
- You do not have the required permission on that store. Request elevated access from that store’s Admin.
- The store may not be connected to the Dealer group — verify connectivity.
Distributed tag shows fewer rooftops than expected:
- Only stores selected at time of duplication receive the audience.
- Distribution visibility reflects only stores where duplication succeeded.
Deletion blocked:
- The audience is activated. Deactivate or stop the activation before attempting deletion, or contact Support for help.
- Shopper set needs to be different for a specific rooftop:
- Use “Save as new” at the recipient store to create a local editable copy, then adjust the shopper set locally.
Limitations & other important points
- Group activation (activating audiences across the entire group is not yet supported)
- Global edits to the shopper set post-duplication are not supported. To change shopper sets for a specific store, use “Save as new” on that store’s copy.
- Audit trail: The creator is recorded at duplication time. Keep this in mind for governance and audit purposes.
