Overview
Audience Ai is a Beta feature in the CDP Audience Builder that helps you build audience filters using natural language. A colorful input box (marked Beta) lets you either type a request or use the voice-to-text microphone to speak what you want. The AI attempts to translate your request into Audience Builder filters; because it can make mistakes, always review and validate generated filters before saving, activating, or exporting an audience.

Step by Step User Guide
1. Open Fullpath Dashboard → Audiences → Audience Builder.
2. Locate the Audience Ai box (colorful box with a Beta tag).
3. Choose your input method:
- Type: Click the box and enter a clear, explicit request.
- Voice-to-text: Click the microphone icon and speak your request (see Voice-to-text notes).
4. Example prompts:
- “Customers who made at least one purchase in the last 12 months but no purchases in the last 3 months.”
- “Users with current equity over $500 and one or more recent website visits in the past 60 days"
5. Submit the request.
6. Review the filters generated by Audience Builder:
- Inspect every condition and confirm inclusions and exclusions match your intent.
7. Manually edit any filters if needed using standard Audience Builder controls.
8. Save, subscribe, download, export, or activate the audience per your permissions.
Voice-to-text notes
- The microphone icon appears when browser and device support speech input.
- Grant microphone permissions when prompted.
- Speak clearly and reference account-specific event or attribute names where possible.
-
Background noise can reduce transcription accuracy.
Best practices and prompt tips
- Be explicit with timeframe and exclusion logic.
- Avoid ambiguous phrases (for example, “between 1 and 4 years”).
- Prefer precise wording: “within the last 4 years, excluding the past 1 year” instead of “between 1 and 4 years.”
- Use event and attribute names exactly as they appear in available filter list within the Audience Builder
- If the AI’s output is off, rephrase the prompt with clearer constraints or build the filter manually.
- Pay special attention to exclusions — verify that the audience is excluding what you intend to exclude.
Important notes
Audience Ai is a helper — always review AI-generated filters before using audiences in production or downstream workflows.
Audiences created via Audience Ai are treated like any other audience: they can be saved, subscribed to, downloaded, exported, and activated (per your permissions).
The feature is Beta — functionality and availability may change. For disabling requests or role mapping questions, contact your Customer Success Manager or Support.
