Overview
Custom templates allow you to add your own custom email templates or duplicate and edit existing ones for the Audience Activation delivery system and A/B test, or replace, your email emails against Fullpath system emails.
Custom templates give the dealership the ability to create custom messaging and leverage the power of Fullpath's CDP to send campaigns to already created system audiences or create completely new audiences for your your custom emails.
Navigation (Scenario 1: Create New)

> Audience Activation
> Email Templates
> Click on the 'Create New Template' link in the upper right hand corner

Input fields include:
- *Template Name (this is internal, for list view and will not be visible to recipients)
- *Subject Line (we recommend you use no more than 9 words and 60 characters).
- Description (here you can include a few words about the email template you're creating so that the Ai can leverage your words and intent as a prompt and auto-generate the email body content for you!
- *Message (this is the body of your email, keep in mind most recipients will be opening and reading this on a mobile device. Shorter is better. This section includes a rich text editor however HTML is also supported)
- CTA Text (What's your Call to Action, Buy Now, Book Your Visit, etc.)
- CTA URL (paste the full destination URL where you'd like traffic from this email to be directed).
- Signature (text only)
Navigation (Scenario 2: Duplicate and Edit)
> Enter Activation section
> Audience Activation
> Email Campaigns > choose the campaign you know has a template you want to use and edit

> Email Templates > choose the template you know has a design you want to use and edit
Input fields include:
- Title 1: the main header of the email, bold and big
- Title 2: a sub-header, slightly smaller
- Title 3: extra text which is optional
- Main Text: a full rich text editor supports styling, links, emojis, and images
- Desktop Image: PNG or JPEG
- Mobile Image: PNG or JPEG
Save and Activate, Save as Draft, Back, Distribute Across a Group

Saving the template and activating it immediately inside the selected audiences and campaigns
Save as Draft
Saving as a draft for further edits at a later time

Navigating back into the template editor for a quick fix
Distribute Across Group
You may select saved templates and distribute them across an entire group or multiple selected stores within a group to apply the same branding or template designs to multiple rooftops.
Merge Tags
You may use merge tags in the subject line and body of your custom email template. Read more about merge tags for Audience Activation emails here.
Sending a Test Email
Send yourself or someone at your dealership a test email before launching live. It is recommended to view this email BOTH on desktop and mobile devices. Input one email at a time.
Choose Campaigns
You may select one or multiple campaigns for which you'd like to assign this email template. The email will be sent according to the same rules and cadence as those of the campaigns you select. Read more about email frequency, minimum days between emails, and other Audience Activation settings.
Tip: How to Avoid Spam Folder When Creating Custom Email Campaigns
- Keep the subject line relevant and under 45 characters
- Avoid using ALL CAPS or excessive punctuation
- Use a balanced ratio of about 2 lines of text for every 1 image; don’t send emails that are mostly images
- Avoid using too many colors or large font sizes
- Use the website URL in full instead of shortened links like bit.ly
- Avoid deceptive subject lines and misleading headers
- Avoid common spam-trigger words like "Act now," "Guarantee," "Best price," "Coupons," “Urgent,” and similar phrases
- Avoid attachments to emails
