Product Overview
What is Dynamic Payments? Dynamic Payments (DP) automates the creation, management, and publishing of lease and finance offers tied directly to a dealer's VIN-level inventory. It combines dealer inventory, OEM incentives, and lender programs to produce real, transactable offers for customers — and keeps those offers synchronized across ads, website VDPs, marketing materials, and sales tools.
What key features does Dynamic Payments provide?
- Automated, VIN-by-VIN specials page updates (up to 5× daily)
- Multiple lenders integrated to show competitive lease/finance deals beyond OEM captive programs
- Support for multiple offers per vehicle model (typically up to 5–6)
- Syndication of offers to digital ads, email/SMS, VDP banners, and ChatGPT-powered shopping tools
- Dealer-controlled markups, fees, and profitability parameters built into every offer
- Asset generation for dynamic banners and select slide templates based on live offer data
How does Dynamic Payments connect to Fullpath's ecosystem? DP integrates with Fullpath's digital advertising, audience activation, VDP banners, and ChatGPT-powered tools — ensuring that ad copy, landing pages, and on-site offers are consistent and always up to date.
Why should salespeople have access to Dynamic Payments? DP does not publish specials on every vehicle to the website, but it calculates offers across the dealer's full inventory. Salespeople can use it as an internal tool to quickly provide customers with an accurate, transactable payment range — particularly useful when switching a customer from one model to another.
Offers
What offer types are available? DP supports the following offer types:
- Lease: 10% down, First & Fees / $0 down, Sign & Drive (no money up front), One-pay lease
- Finance: Monthly payment special and APR special (lowest available APR; no payment shown)
- Total Savings: Displays the difference between MSRP and the dealer's advertised price
Offer types are configured per dealer based on their preferences. Not all offer types need to be enabled.
How many offers can be shown per vehicle? DP supports multiple offers per model — typically up to 5–6 options, presenting customers with diversified buying paths.
How often do offers update? Offers are generated 4–5 times per day and automatically reflect changes in inventory, pricing, or lender programs. If a dealer changes settings and wants offers refreshed immediately, a manual refresh can be triggered — new offers will appear on the website within 1–2 hours.
Are the payments in Dynamic Payments accurate and transactable? Yes. All deals are transactable. DP calculates accurate payments and references the specific bank and program details used, making it straightforward to recreate any deal in the finance office.
How does Dynamic Payments handle rebates? Rebates are applied on Fullpath's end based on program compatibility. We receive a selling price of MSRP minus dealer discount — no rebates are baked into the price. We then apply eligible rebates separately, ensuring each rebate is valid for the specific deal structure being calculated. DP compares multiple deal structures to find the most competitive offer.
Example: If a rebate is valid on a standard lease but incompatible with a lower special lease rate, both scenarios are calculated and the better offer is published.
Can we include conditional rebates (military, loyalty, conquest, first responder)? We can target one conditional rebate category per offer type. However, we advise against using conditional rebates. Under current FTC guidelines, dealers must advertise using pricing available to all customers. Applying a conditional rebate to an advertised offer may not meet that standard.
Can Dynamic Payments show VIN-level specials on vehicle detail pages (VDPs)? Yes. VIN-level VDP specials are available. To implement this, a Jira case must be submitted to Tier 3. Typical turnaround time is 48 hours.
Can the dealership select which vehicles and specials are shown? Yes. Dealers can build custom specials, create loss leaders, and choose specific vehicles to feature. Most changes are available directly in settings. For more complex configurations, contact support@fullpath.com.
What terms does Dynamic Payments use for lease and finance payments? Payments are displayed based on the dealer's custom configuration settings, which include rate markup, selling price, term, local fees and taxes, and other variables. All parameters are set by the dealership.
Can Dynamic Payments generate marketing collateral like banners and slides? Yes. DP can create and update banner assets and certain slide templates from live offer data. There are some limitations on visual customization depending on graphic formats. Discuss specific requirements with the dealer's CSM to confirm capabilities.
Lenders & Programs
What lenders are available in Dynamic Payments? All manufacturer captive lenders are available, as well as many banks and credit unions that provide digital rate sheets. Some large banks — such as Chase, Wells Fargo, US Bank, and Bank of America — do not publish rate sheets and are therefore unavailable by default. If a dealer wants to use a lender not currently set up, Fullpath can add them as long as the dealer provides a current rate sheet.
Can a dealership add or remove lenders? Yes. A dealership admin can add or remove lenders from the settings screen at any time. Alternatively, contact support@fullpath.com for assistance. To add a new lender quickly, the dealership must provide a current digital rate sheet.
Can we add lenders that don't provide a digital rate sheet? Yes. Options include:
- Implementing a digital rate sheet
- Fullpath manually adding the lender based on a dealer-provided rate sheet
- Creating a fully custom lender configuration based on dealer-specified parameters
Where does Dynamic Payments get its lease and finance program data? All lender programs — including rates, residuals, maximum markup, expiration dates, local fees, and taxes — are sourced from MarketScan.
How often are lender programs updated? Lender programs are updated daily. If a specific lender's information is missing from our data source, Fullpath can update it manually when the dealer submits a current rate sheet.
How often are OEM rate, rebate, and residual programs updated? OEM programs are updated daily via Fullpath's data feeds. If Dynamic Payments is missing a program, contact support@fullpath.com and the team will work with the OEM to resolve it.
Inventory
How often is inventory updated? Inventory is updated based on the refresh rate of the dealer's inventory provider — up to eight times per day.
When is a vehicle added or removed from Dynamic Payments? A vehicle is added when a VIN and a sales price are provided by the inventory provider. It is removed when the inventory provider records the unit as no longer available for sale — either sold or traded.
Pricing & Fees
Can we edit vehicle pricing within Dynamic Payments? No. DP strictly uses pricing received from the inventory syndicator. Fullpath can map any field from the inventory feed for pricing, but the value must exist in that feed. If the dealer wants to use a specific price field, they need to identify where that pricing lives in their inventory data and Fullpath can map to it.
Important: Fullpath cannot create or modify pricing values — the data must come from the dealer's inventory feed.
How does Dynamic Payments handle dealer fees? Dealer fees are configured through Fullpath's fee settings. Any configured fee is calculated into the offer and disclosed as being included in the payment.
Can the dealership add or remove fees and taxes? Yes. A dealership admin can add or remove fees and taxes from the settings screen at any time.
What protections are in place for the dealer? All parameters — including taxes, fees, rate markup, selling price, and disclosures — are set by the dealership. Fullpath configures settings based on each dealer's objectives and merchandising strategy. Nothing is published without dealer-approved configuration.
Leads & CRM Impact
How do DP deals impact leads and the CRM/sales process? Leads tied to a specific offer carry exact payment and offer details directly into the dealer's sales workflows. This provides accurate self-qualification, reduces desk friction, improves desking accuracy, and lowers customer objections about mismatched offers.
Reporting & ROI
Are reporting and ROI tools available? Reporting is available but historically limited. Fullpath is actively enhancing reporting and attribution capabilities to better demonstrate ROI tied to Dynamic Payments.
Setup & Onboarding
How long does setup and onboarding take? Setup typically takes approximately one week from the date the dealer completes the onboarding intake form. In some cases it can be done in as little as 36 hours, but one week is the standard expected timeline to account for inventory approval and script installation.
What are the most critical onboarding steps for the dealer? The three steps that must be completed before offers can go live:
- Completion of the onboarding intake form
- Approval of the inventory feed request
- Installation of the Fullpath script on the dealer's website
All three must be in place before any offers are published.
Support
How does a dealer or internal team member get support? For any support needs, contact support@fullpath.com. For account-level questions or escalations, reach out to the dealer's Customer Success Manager.
