Overview
Fullpath supports many different paid advertising solutions, both within our CDXP Platform and outside of the platform in some cases. Customers may have one or many solutions active - or they may take actions (like boosting models or allocating funds) which parse out new campaigns. Therefore, it's important to understand the campaign naming conventions of each so that you can more quickly and efficiently find data and review accounts.
Paid Advertising Naming Conventions inside Google Ads/ Facebook
When an account is created in Google Ads, and there are no custom rules, boosts, or budget allocations in place, there will be 2 campaigns visible in Google Ads, one for each channel activated:
1. Search (ex: Acquire -[Search]- Main)
2. Display (ex: Acquire -[Display]- Main)
When an account is created in Facebook and no custom rules, boost, or budget allocations are in place, there are 2 campaigns visible:
1. a main campaign (ex: Acquire - Social - Main)
2. an inventory catalogue campaign (ex: Acquire - Inventory Catalog - Main)
These are the "parent" campaigns that host all of the running objectives for a channel. As soon as you apply a Boost, Targeting, or Budget Allocation rule, the system will break out new campaigns that are visible in the Ad account. The campaign naming convention varies based on the settings that were modified. You can use your Dashboard as a guide to determine what the campaign represents.
General naming conventions:
(Wh): Weight Heavier - These are Boost Campaigns
(T): These are campaigns that have specific Targeting rules applied to them
(B): Budget Allocation
(Wc): Weight Custom - these are boost campaigns (within inventory management) with either / or custom targeting and/or budget applied
These will also have a number after the "B" or "T" (B123) (T123) used to track them in our internal systems. Important to note: If an account has multiple campaign-modifying settings, the ad campaign names will reflect this. For example, if a Targeting rule was applied to New Objective & a Boost to New Honda Civics - the campaign in the Dashboard will need to take into to consideration that New has specific targeting requirements AND now a New Boost was added. The corresponding campaign will look something like: Acquire - Display - Main - New Inventory (T1072Wh)
